Well, now more than ever is the best time to share. Catfish and the Bottlemen are a four-piece from Wales, who happen to look like they just walked off a *insert edgy (ugh, I hate that word) designer name here" runway.
Their album isn't out in US yet but their ep "Kathleen and the Other Three" was released this summer.
*Side note* If someone want's to send me their new album, just email me because I'll totally just take a copy off your hands
The title track (?) "Kathleen" is phenomenal. It's so easy to identify with song about being absolutely crazy in love with someone. Whether you're on the 'obssesse" or 'obssesser', I've been on both sides, Kathleen allows you to grasp what both feelings are like. Cause guys, lets be real, love makes you do some crazy, crazy shit. "and you don't own worries or a chest full of heartache" oh my gosh, hello Sasha circa 2012.
Anyway, Kathleen is my favorite song off the five track ep but the other titles are pretty fantastic. Definitely listen to it before their full length comes out that way you can:
A) Call dibs for liking them before anyone else (in America...but you gotta give me props too)
B) Sing along to their songs when the play Baby's All Right tonight and the Mercury Lounge tomorrow
C) so many other reasons
Also they can totally spin on radio, so what the fuck radio?!!? I should be hearing their songs when I shower (because that's the only time I listen to the radio). Stop being scared, radio.
